Interfaith Vigil at Beth Tzedec Synagogue
On October 27, 2018 The Jewish congregation of "Tree of Life" synagogue in Pittsburgh, USA suffered a dastardly attack that killed many Jewish worshipers. A CMPJ Board member who also is a member of the Calgary Interfaith Council contacted the its Jewish members and proposed an interfaith vigil on October 28th. at the City Hall, Calgary in memory of the killed and to condemn the attack. In response the Jewish leaders proposed a vigil on October 30th. at the Beth Tzedec Synagogue in Calgary. CMPJ Chair, Dr. Sameena Kamran represented the group and spoke at the vigil along with other Muslim and interfaith leaders.
